Paris Proposal

I%26#39;m currently planning a Paris/Italy trip for my girlfriend and I for May 2008, my plan is to propose while in Paris!

I need some tips on Paris, some good locations to pop the question and some budget friendly yet romantic hotels

You want a location that%26#39;s elbow-to-elbow in crowds or more private?

more private....someone has suggested the siene river on a bridge with notre dame in the background

I assume your girlfriend is an intelligent sort of girl, so I would suggest you spend an evening taking her to several of the %26#39;romantic%26#39; locations suggested on the other threads, but don%26#39;t propose at any of those. Then take her to the most ordinary cafe or bar you can find and propose to her there. Explain that you could have proposed at any of the other places for dramatic effect, but you know that she is not frivolous enough to think that the location is important. Not only will it flatter her, it will also let her know that you are aware of the things that actually matter.
