Musee de la Magie (Museum of Magic)?

Has anyone been to this museum before, it looks like it could be alot of fun. My husband is a stage magician per our logon name, so I think he may love this. since I do not read french currently ( I am taking lessons starting this weekend), I could use some help. I have not seen anyone else ask about this place before.

It has a section for reservations, do I need to make one before I leave just to tour the museum or this to reserve for the shows?

Cheers,

We went a couple years ago. It%26#39;s a small museum, on the quaint side, with some %26#39;fun house%26#39; mirrors, automatons, illusions, etc. A few times a day, there is a short magic act in a tiny theater with bleacher-style seating. Of course, it%26#39;s in French, but it%26#39;s fun to watch the interaction b/t the magician and the children. I don%26#39;t recall making reservations - I think that might be for some special-event type shows. We just paid the entrance fee, wandered around, and I think there was some kind of %26#39;bell%26#39; or horn or something to announce the show was about to begin (no other fee for that, either).

It is a fun little place I think, and won%26#39;t take long to see.

WOW...KDKSAIL I had no idea there would be that many places to see dealing with magic. Now I am afraid to show this list to my husband, I may not get to go anywhere else...LOL!! I know we will hit a few of them, I will report when I get back in October, only 45 days left , I am so excited!!!

Thank you both for your advice and suggestions!

Cheers,

|||

Add this one to the list that you won%26#39;t show him--

ATELIER PASSE-PASSE-- 66 rue Hermel (btwn: rue du Simplon %26amp; rue Joseph Dijon), 75018, Metro: Simplon--

http://www.passepasse.com/

By the way, if you%26#39;ve been around magicians and magic shops much, they often have erratic schedules...tending more toward %26#39;..suggestions..%26#39; than %26#39;schedules%26#39;...so it%26#39;s usually a good idea to telephone these place to make certain that they%26#39;ll be open when you arrive, before trekking across the city to visit them.

|||

Better yet...jot down the names and addresses of these shops and carry them with you to discretely refer to while you%26#39;re out %26#39;n about the city and when you%26#39;re in one of the neighborhoods, simply---and %26#39;..magically..%26#39; (never let him in on the trick)--direct him to a %26#39;..litttle magic shop around the corner..%26#39;.....et voila !!!...he%26#39;ll be both pleased and amazed.

|||

too funny...I have already forwarded your post to him. I titled it %26quot;Have fun in your candy store%26quot; LOL. This will be fun to breakup the day since we are there for 7 full days we will see how many we can cover!
