Need traffic/driving advice from a local expert!?!

Hi,

A group of us are attending friends%26#39; wedding over the weekend of September 1 %26amp; 2. Some will be staying in Nice, the rest will be based in Claviers, approx 80 km west of Nice. We will be driving between both towns for various wedding festivities. Understand summer traffic can be brutal in the area and am curious if the weekend of September 1 %26amp; 2 is still considered summer holiday. If so, how much time should we allow for travel from Nice to Claviers on Saturday afternoon (need to be there by 3) and Claviers to Nice on Sunday (need to be in Nice by 4). I%26#39;d prefer not to be singing %26quot;get me to the church on time%26quot; while stuck in traffic. Thanks for any feedback!

Hi OnislandTime,

From Claviers to Nice without too much traffic, is usually an hour and a half. Figure another hour or so, to play it safe. I would recommend getting an international mapquest, as there are a number of different roads that you%26#39;ll be on. These roads are not as trafficked as the shore ones, but still give yourselves that extra time, and you%26#39;ll definitely %26quot;Get to the Church on Time%26quot; Have fun, and drive safely!
