Nice in July, family of four

We%26#39;re travelling to France in July (I know it%26#39;s crazy but my brother-in-law just HAD to get married then...) and it turns out that we%26#39;ll be needing lodging for one night only in Nice.

We%26#39;re with our two daughters, aged 5 and 2, and the idea of a chambre communicante doesn%26#39;t really appeal to me but I guess if we had to, we would. I know quads are extremely rare and vacation rentals rarely rent by the night.

I%26#39;ve noticed quite a few hotels state that one child under 12 is %26quot;free%26quot; but does that mean an extra cot and therefore we just book a triple?

Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer!

A plus tard!

The Comfort Hotel by the Port can accommodate 4 persons in some of their rooms, either 2 double beds or 4 singles. It is a modern, clean hotel. I have stayed there and it is fine for the cost, good value in fact. There is underground parking for a small fee which needs to be booked in advance. It is in a quiet road behing the Port, opposite where I have a holiday studio in fact!

The rooms are a good size and as it is only for one night then the lack of great facilities or ambiance is less important than somewhere reasonable, clean and comfortable and with all your family in one room. Breakfast is help-yourself continental buffet served on the ground floor, perfectly respectable. You are close to the Old Town and the Port so there are many restaurants all within a few minutes%26#39; walk

As an experiment I put in a date in the middle of July and got quoted 76 euros per room (not per person) for either 2 double beds or 4 single beds. The link I used was:

Worth a try although I expect they may well be booked up for the summer by now.

best wishes.

Try the Citadines Promenade, they have large room (and you can make your own food). It is close to the Promeande des Anglais, a 15 minutes walk from the Old Town

Thanks for everyone%26#39;s replies. Just in case there is someone else out there also looking for quad occupancy in Nice, I also found Novotel Nice Centre. Up to 2 free children in the room with parents and they have %26quot;superior%26quot; rooms (that%26#39;s the class rating -not my rating-) with a double bed, single bed and sleeper sofa. I havent stayed there yet so I can comment on its quality or comfort but at under $110 a night including breakfast for the lil uns and a playground too, it%26#39;s a steal!

You can find them at novotel.com/novotel/…fiche_hotel.shtml

Again, thanks to everyone for your help!
