KDK, HOW do you know all these things!!!!???????

|||

He actually runs that secret operation, hidden deep beneath the Arc de Triomphe, whence emerge all those accordion players you see on the metro...

And those metro accordeonistes are, in fact, his spies...

All will be revealed in my forthcoming non-fiction novel, The Day of the KDKSAIL...

A better %26#39;..trick..%26#39; would be keeping track of the older Parisian hotels which have undergone and completed revovations/restorations/refurbishments within the past year or two. Very often, an otherwise perfectly good hotel gets a bit %26#39;frayed-around-the-edges%26#39;or %26#39;run-down%26#39; from years of service. Guests who visit these hotels during this period of their %26#39;lives%26#39; often come away disappointed and dissatisfied and report as much--especially if their visit was during the renovation process. They usually aren%26#39;t %26#39;..happy campers..%26#39;. But after renovation, many of these little %26#39;gems%26#39; regain or exceed their former glories.

|||

YES!! IrishRovr. You are right. KDK must BE the old man with well worn beret, bicycle and supply of plastic baguettes!!

I eagerly anticipate the release of your non-fiction novel...........after the completion of your extensive research in Paris, sans doute!!

That seem to be the trend with new hotels in Paris---less traditional Parisian %26#39;..charme..%26#39; and a lot more %26#39;..chic..%26#39;. These are hotels which will probably be booked solid, months in advance for Fashion Weeks. They all seem to want to be the %26#39;..next..%26#39; HOTEL COSTES.

|||

All those new hotels are pricey (for my budget)... do any new %26#39;inexpensive%26#39; hotels ever open? (dbl/twin for 80-100Euro)

|||

Hotel Bleu Marine Montparnasse (14th) is fairly new but outside the core. Reviews have been generally good.
