Airport to Train Transportation? Also Weather in August?

I read the June thread about Montpellier Airport to Train Station transportation and looked up and verified the following: (1) the infrequency of the mid-afternoon shuttle service, as pointed out, and (2) also a similar infrequency of bus #120 service to Place de l%26#39;Europe from the airport (plus that method would necessitate carrying luggage on and off two vehicles, #120 and tram.) So now I%26#39;m definitely considering taking a taxi from airport to train station (about 8 or 10 km?)

Does anyone know approximately how much that would cost? Thanks!

2nd Question: How hot is it apt to be in Montpellier in late August? I have a reservation in a hotel and just realized the hotel doesn%26#39;t have air conditioning! Mistake, huh?

My taxi from the airport into the city cost €23 - disgraceful price but like you I didn%26#39;t fancy hanging about for a bus.

Temperature-wise they are forecasting around 80F for the next few days and that%26#39;s about normal for time of year. Not particularly humid but I think you will need to leave the window open for a bit of air.

Unless you%26#39;re a softie , air-condtioning should not be a consideration at the end of August ; sleep naked with the window open .

Hi

no weather guarantees, but .................

The summer was late starting this year.

With the exception of a few days last week, it has been much cooler than normal.

Today is 27C (80F) with a little breeze and low humidity. Last Monday was 38C (100F).

The evenings are much cooler than usual (even last week), so maybe lack of AC will not be a problem.

You can follow the weather, and look at 15 day forecasts here :
