Honeymoon hotel for Aug

I%26#39;m planning a honeymoon trip to Paris in August this year! We would like to stay in a not too touristy area, yet not too far from Arc de Triomphe / Eiffel Tower etc.. We would like to have some dose of luxury yet with the renowned Parisian charm! We are choosing from among three hotels we found interesting honeymoon deals at:

1) Mont Fleuri www.montfleuri.fr in the 16eme, near the AdT

2) Les Relais de Paris Cambronne Eiffel - www.lesrelaisdeparis.fr in the 15eme

3) Villa Montparnasse www.parisby.com/villamontparnasse/ in the 14eme

I%26#39;ve read the reviews - all rather positive (yet there are only 3 reviews available for Mont Fleuri)

It would be great if sb with a better knowledge of Parisian hotels could help us!:)

The lower the eme (arrondisment or district) number, the closer you are to the Seinne River and the center of the city. I stayed in the St.Germaine 6th eme district and found it to be just like your preferenced outline above. Note; the star rating system for French hotels is sometimes too generous -- if you want a minimum of a 3 star, get a 4. If money is no object, try the Ritz. Congrats.

Just returned from a long weekend at Les Relais Cambronne Eiffel.

The hotel is basic but does have air conditioning which we needed [32 deg C outside]. it is served well by 2 metro stations within 200m. Le Motte gets you onto 3 lines and links direct to Opera nad Madelaine with links to RER to CDG Airport Terminal 3 for Easy-jet.

The breakfast room is functional but decent continental breakfast and the staff keep it well stocked but get down early if you can.

Rooms are very small but very clean, crisp linen and towels- some cigarette burns on desk in our room but now nonsmoking which was essential for us. Ensuites are clean and good quality fittings. Try and get a room with a bath [shower over] as the showers are very small with only a curtain round which sticks to you as you shower!

Metro track on elevated section in street but rubber tyred trains make no noise at all and double glazed windows so no problem.

Les Relais is in a quiet part on Rue Cambronne but this was due to visiting in August when most of of Paris shuts down for holidays- most shops and businesse3s are closed but tourist bits are open. Big tip ....first Sunday in month is free entry to ALL museums and galleries- go to musee d%26#39;Orsay to see fantastic collection of Pre- Post and Expressionist and some Art Nouveau works...fantastic.

Take a picnic with wine on Saturday evening to the gardens between the Military School and Eiffel Tower....and you can dance in the amphitheatres along the Seine....everyone%26#39;s up until 1/2am.

Take a Bateau Mouche one night along the Seine from Eiffel.....wonderful views and nightlife!

Free access internat linked computer in foyer if you need it...helpful staff. Decent bar restaurants in two squares at either end of Rue Cambronne...but avoid %26#39;La Place%26#39;- very arrogant waiters and high prices but good atmosphere!....recommend the Steak of the Day at %26#39;Le Square%26#39; across the road....fantastic quality and only 14 euros!! [Ask for bien cuille though as medium steak is blue in centre!

Haqve a great time!
