Which arrondissement for family lodging-17th, 16th or 11th?

My family of 7 (2 adults, 5 kids: 14, 16, 18, 20-year-old twins) will be in Paris over the Christmas holidays. I have three rental apartments to choose from but I don%26#39;t know which area is best for us. My main concerns are convenience and safety since my older children will want to go off on their own on some evenings. I do know that all three are very close to the Metro. Thanks!

It depends what metro you are talking about re.convenience.

No problam re.safety though. Kids walk alone all over Paris at all hours and streets are also busy since so many people walk in Paris.

When it comes to safty it doesent matter but for the rest it would be good maybe if you had the streetname of where the flats are and it will be easier to answer.

17th - Cour St. Pierre - a small gated street near the intersetion of Avenue de Clichy and Avenue de Saint-Ouen, 30 seconds from La Fourche Metro stop. 16th - Rue Magdeburg, somewhere between Avenue Kleber and AVenue de New York. 11th - rue Jean Pierre Timbaud - not sure of exact location. Thanks for your help.

We have stayed in the 16th twice Rue du Passy and Ranaleigh, and I am currently staiyng on Wagram in the 17th. 16 and 17 are both quiet (boring) and safe - the biggest danger in my neighborhood is stepping in dog droppings. Plenty of Metro and bus service. Feels like winter already, breezy and rainy. Enjoy!

I would avoid the apartment at La Fourche - not central enough. And metro 13 is one of the most crowded and incident prone.

Thank you to all who replied - you have been most helpful. Another apartment is now available in the 10th district on rue Bichat, about a block from the canal. Again, I have no idea of the area. Any thoughts? Thanks-
