6 year olds Xmas pressie.. where to stay?

Hi there

I am taking my 6 year old daughter to Paris for 2 nights for her Xmas... she has been asking to go since she was 3 and heard about it from her Granny. We are there in December.

I am looking for a comfortable hotel that will make her feel a wee bit special without breaking the bank, maybe the latin quarter? Would be nice if it felt like we were in Paris and not any old hotel anywhere.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. She travels well and loves an adventure!

I would suggest one of the ones on Ile St Louis (Hotel des Deux Iles, for example) or its sister establishment, Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche (on rue St Jacques, just in from the Seine on the left bank). The one on Ile St Louis is in a very old building with exposed beams in some ceilings, plus just %26quot;looks French.%26quot; The one on rue St Jacques has a fireplace in the sitting/reception area, and if you get a streetside room you will be able to see the ET as well as the very old St Severin church right across the street (it%26#39;s in constant dispute with another one - don%26#39;t recall which - about which is the oldest church in Paris).

Check the hotel search feature on this site to see more information and reviews about both.

those are great suggestions

another is the Hotel des Grande Ecoles --- the rooms -- at least the one we shared with our daughter was was quite charming -- and the location is great -- the garden is probably not the plus in December that it is in June -- but still probably charming
