Roissybus then taxi to hotel, good idea?

We are taking the Roissybus to the Opera stop, then I am trying to figure out if we should just grab a taxi from there to the hotel or just get on the Metro line to Ecole Militare? We are arriving around 11am on a Saturday if this might help. Thank you for your advice.

Cheers,

Since you are talking about %26quot;we%26quot; I am assuming that at least 2 people are going. Take a taxi at airport, it will not cost THAT much more than 2 bus tickets + a taxi and it will save you a lot of aggravation!

Isn%26#39;t the average taxi ride from CDG are 45 euros($62.00)? the Roissybus is only $17.20 euros ($23.70) total for 2 people.

Is there a taxi stand outside the Opera stop? aproximatly how much to get to our hotel from there?

This is why I am asking questions now so I do not make the wrong choice and messup or first day. Thank you for your advice.

Cheers,

Magic, you are correct about the prices; Roissybus provides a good saving and is easy to access. I have done exactly what you propose. Once I took a taxi from Opera because I had a cello as well as bags to carry. There is a taxi stand at Opera. Stand with your back to the Opera Garnier front entrance. Look ahead and to the left and you%26#39;ll see a large clock. Under the clock is the taxi stand.

If you don%26#39;t have lots of baggage take the metro (another saving) line 8 direction Balard. A quick ride to Ecole Militaire.

you don%26#39;t mention how much luggage you%26#39;ll have with you, but i can tell you from recent experience that the convenience of taking a taxi from CDG directly to our apartment far outweighed the (small) extra cost involved!

I suggest that you use the Roissy and Metro line 8 (Ballard) if you don%26#39;t have many bags. If you have a lot of bags, use something like Yellow Van which will take you to the door of your hotel. The latter worked very well for us (36 for 2, quick pick up, shared ride, can be booked by hotel).

Hi Magic, We emailed our hotel direct and they%26#39;ve organised for us to take the shuttle to our hotel in 1e. At 6.25am after a 25 hour flight we didn%26#39;t want to be making decisions (LOL!) The shuttle is costing 36 euro for both of us. CDG to Hotel. I think this would be like the Yellow Van ? quick pick up - shared ride.
