I%26#39;m driving down to paris to see the England South Africa game at the Stade de France can you recommend a hostel and or a way of parking outside the city, eg a park and ride.

Stade de France is outside Paris proper in the northern suburb of St Denis. You could park at the airport (Charles de Gaulle) and catch the RER train to La Plaine -Stade de France from where its a 10 minute walk to the stadium. The train trip would be about 20 -25 minutes: make sure you get a %26quot;stopping%26quot; train rather than the express (which goes straight to Gare du Nord from the airport.)

As regards accommodation - I think at this late stage it%26#39;s a case of searching for any availability in the area. Maybe after the match get a train to Gare du Nord and stay in that area. Try venere.com and search for 10th arondissement: be prepared for a shock re prices - I did a quick search and for 14 Sept couldnt find anything under EUR100.

Good luck.
