How to Spend Our Day

Will be staying 3 nights at Chevre d%26#39;Or in Eze, giving us 2 full days there. 1 day we%26#39;ll stay in Eze, enjoying the hotel. The other day, we want to drive the Grande and Moyenne Corniches. Was thinking of checking out Roquebrune and La Turbie. Not sure if we want to go down to the coast. If we do, we were considering Cap Ferrat or Villefranche. Is it too far to go to St Paul de Vence? Don%26#39;t want to be rushing around. Was thinking about lunch at Colombe d%26#39;Or. Had thought about going there on our way to Eze but was concerned about our luggage in the trunk. Any suggestions on where we should go/eat lunch would be appreciated. Thanks.

Very much depends on when? In August I would not recommend you go to St Paul as you need to traverse or get round Nice and traffic will be very heavy. In January there will be very little traffic and you could drive anywhere easily.

All of the other places you mention are within a few miles of each other. I often ride my bike on the two Corniches you mention and traffic is light even in August. (Virtually none on the Grande)

With one day to drive around I would recommend you confine yourselves to Cap Ferrat and Villefranche. If the sun is shining, you might think of lunch at Oursin Bleu, on the harbour side at Villefranche, and afternoon tea in the garden at the Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat. I know many Americans don%26#39;t walk but, if you do, the stroll along the path which goes from St Jean towards Beaulieu is as pleasant as you will find anywhere in the world.

La Turbie is nothing special but it is certainly worth stopping to look down on Monaco.

I will be cycling on the Corniches again next week, while still not quite believing the spendour of the view!

LondonBob, We will be there mid September, midweek. How would that tiime of the year be for going down to the coast or over to St Paul? Do you recommend checking out Roquebrune? I had forgotten about the walk at Cap Ferrat. We would enjoy that. Thanks.
