Gite or camping?

Hope you can help we are planning on visiting the Languedoc region late August/early September after visiting family in La Rochelle and will be driving down. We have camped before in Agde but wanted to go further down near the Spanish border. As we are a couple with no children, would we be better off in a gite, if so any recommendations? Quite like the look of Collouire but probably expensive and we would like a pool. Thanks for your help.

Gite every time for me!

You may have left it too late for August but try www.cheznous.com - you deal directly with the owners but do try for one with a pool - or access to one.

Thanks for your response! May as well, it seems to be the same price can you believe as renting a mobile home.

I have rented a gite in the Languedoc (at Narbonne) for a week end of August. Unfortunately our company (4 people) can only stay for a prolonged weekend (from Aug. 24th till Aug. 28th). The gite (capacity 6 people) is available for free from the 29th of august until the 1st of September.

If you are interested, send me a message back....
