Proposing in Nice- Where??

Help!!???

Can someone please recommend a nice restaurant/bar or area which woudl be ideal for someone to make a proposal??

The hotel they are staying at is the Ellington if this helps!

Money isnt much of a object.

any suggestions are more then welcome!

The back room at Le Tire Bouchon restaurant, rue de la prefecture/ du l%26#39;Abbaye, Old Nice or Jouni de la Reserve de Nce, on boulevard franck pilatte past the port would get my vote. Or maybe at the top of the Chateau Hill with a champagne picnic

What kind of proposal?

The pretender to the top restaurant is at the Negresco Hotel; someone will give you the name. It may not be the best however or the most romantic. There are some lovely little restaurants in Old Town with lovely atmosphere but they might be too busy.

You don%26#39;t say when the trip is, if it%26#39;s summer, what about a boat trip from Nice port and propose on the ocean wave; I don%26#39;t think the captain can do the ceremony however. Or climb to the top of the hill in Old Town, lovely views, early evening perhaps?

You might consider the Grande Hotel du Cap Ferrat or the Chevre D%26#39;Or in Eze, both of which are about 20 mins from Nice by taxi. Both locations are much more romantic than anything in Nice..

Re %26quot;James Bond%26quot; These days we can%26#39;t assume a man is involved! Also, we still don%26#39;t know what kind of proposal is being made.

If it is the trad type and they%26#39;re flying out of Heathrow, there%26#39;s probably time to propose, consumate, and have the baby while in the queue. Mind you, the carry cot will be lost!

Agree with Eze or perhaps Saint Paul De Vence. Both very pretty and romantic. But any where will do if they say yes!!!!

My vote goes for Chantcler at the Negresco. But tell %26#39;em not to forget to sell the film rights to Hello Magazine to help pay the bill as this place tests the %26quot;money no object%26quot; to the limits.

(If you order a Marque champagne, on receipt of the bill remark %26quot;I asked for the bill, not the phone number%26quot; then write a cheque amount for the phone number. It%26#39;s probably less.)

Its a personal thing but I would take the young Ms NL to the terraces of the Voile d%26#39;Or overlooking St Jean at St Jean Cap Ferrat. Later, come back to the little church at St Jean for the wedding and hire Villa Ephrussi for the reception... and and and...with the change...
