Nice/Monaco

Please advise : we will arrive Nice on Sunday morning and would like to enjoy Nice for 3-4 hours and have a breakfast and see old town, but we have a luggage and after Nice we need to go to Monaco (bus or train). Our ship leaving from Monaco port at midnight.

Please let me know where shold we leave luggage (airport or train station or maybe bus station??? ),where is a good place for breakfast, and if it will be enough time for us to see both places (Nice and Monaco).

Thank you.

Might work best to leave your luggage at the railway station and go onward to Monaco by train, as the fastest reliable connection.

Downside is you need to get to the old town from the station - thats a fifteen to twenty minute walk

Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien at the edge of the flower market, then explore old Nice

In Monaco you want to hang out in Monte Carlo (with luggage? pain!) rather than drag it up to Monaco Ville old town.

Your best bet is to see if you can drop the luggage first at the port - it will drag you down if you cant

Hello

You need to ask somebody who was in the Nice train station recently. Because France is on red (or orange, I forget) alert due to terroristic threats, many %26quot;consignes%26quot; are closed and you may NOT be able to leave your luggage at the station.

I usually fly to Nice so I have no info on this.

Hi FW

The %26quot;Plan Vigipirate%26quot; is what the authorities use to escalate security. Usually its no bother but it may be worth googling to check out the latest status for Nice Gare Ville

Never use left luggage so I cant comment further. My philosphy is that beyond hand luggage, there is nothing you really need that you cant buy locally.

Thank you very much for information%26#39;s.
