Traveling with children to France any suggestions

I was wondering where are some fairly reasonable priced hotels in Paris are for 3-4 days. Then we are off to the south. Nothing confirmed yet trying to find reasonable priced places also good for kids that will be 13 and 11. Thanks

Larger rooms are difficult to find. The majority are doubles. If you find a triple, it is likely to be a full and twin, or a double with a rollaway (in tight quarters).

You may need to find two adjoining rooms. Please %26quot;search%26quot; on the forum and you%26#39;ll find lots of suggestions. Novotel is a larger chain which may have accomodations for you...I%26#39;ve also heard about a family suite at Hotel de Fleure, but there is only one so you would have to request and hope they have it on the days you are traveling.

Good luck!

We%26#39;re doing exactly the same in a couple of weeks. We%26#39;ve rented an Apartment. More space, more authentic experience, less expense. Go to www.vrbo.com or www.ownersdirect.co.uk

We just returned (well, my wife and three kids, 14,11 and 11 returned, I%26#39;m still here in the chilly rain). We used homeexchange.com and had a lovely 4 BR place a few blocks from St Germain de Pres. Tips:

1. make sure you have high speed internet - very common - so the kids can play games and keep up their social network accounts and email.

2. rent toy sailboats 3E, at Jardin de Luxembourg

3. bowling, pool and video games at Montparnasse and Rue Muffetard, but VERY expensive

4. Aquaboulevard, huge water park, waves pools, 11 giant slides, water cannons

5. We let our kids go out int the neighborhood for bread and pain au chocolate.

consider buying a couple of prepaid cell phones, the world%26#39;s longest umbiical cord, about 150E to 200E. Bring a sweater and umbrella. Hope this helps, enjoy!
