I have 4 days in paris with my two teenagers, ages 14,16. I am looking for a hotel that will comfortably accomodate 3 persons in a fun area. (easy to get to sights, good rest. close by, etc) Internet access, etc. I can spend up to around $350 per night. Would the latin quarter be a good place to stay? If so, where?
thanks in advance.

Next month will be my 6th visit to Paris since 2000.
It will be the 4th time I have stayed in the Latin Quarter.
As to things to do, you have the Cluny Museum,
Pantheon, rue Mouffetard, Luxembourg Gardens,
the Sorbonne, etc. The metro is well located
to take you distances and it is very easy to walk
to to St. Germain des Pres(6th), Musee D%26#39;Orsay
and across the Seine to the Louvre, Notre Dame,
and much of Central Paris.
At night I have enjoyed the restaurants around
the 5th and the street scene around the 6th
Blvd. St. Germain and Blvd St. Michel.
I will leave hotel recommendations to others.

Great info. Anyone willing to take a stab at hotels?

Last week, based on the reviews here, I stayed at Hotel des Mines just by Luxembourg Gardens. It was a great little place in an excellent location and is well within your budget. The only caveat I would add is that the rooms are on the small side but, that aside, it fits your requirements perfectly.

Randy is correct about Latin Quarter. The hotel for you would be Hotel Sainte Beauve. Clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. Check out their website for details.

You might check out Hotel Henri Iv rive gauche, great location and reviews
