The Portsmouth to Caen ferry service is usually on time. Because it is an overnight sailing, the crossing is quite slow and they can make up a bit of time for late departure.
However, the problem is how to get to Bayeux from Ouistreham - this is where the ferry docks, not Caen.
There is a direct bus service, but it doesn%26#39;t leave until 10:30 and takes over an hour - out of the question: busverts.fr/_hiver/base_horaire/ete/L75S2.pdf
Getting to Caen and back out to Bayeau by public transport is also out of the question - minimum 20 minutes to get to Caen by taxi or bus (wrong times, but see URL above ... /L1S1.pdf).
To get the SNCF to Bayeux from Caen takes c.15 minutes, but you would need to catch the 07:32. The next train at 08:23 is too late and you can%26#39;t get to Caen in 15 minutes.
I would suggest the only way to do this is book a taxi direct.
