Weather in Carcassonne

We%26#39;ll be staying in the small village of Villefloure near Carcassone from 31 August. The weather reports are looking very hot at the moment. Is anyone in the area now?What are the conditions like? Is in unbearable or just a normal heat for the time of year in that area?

this summer has been very late arriving. Only in the last few days have we had the normal weather that starts in mid June.

Today was 35C in my part of Languedoc; this is a pretty normal summer temp, with hot spells around 40C.

I would expect early September daytime temperatures 25C - 30C, with the usual risk of both higher and lower temps.

nice to hear that mpprh, I was starting to despair. Although early July (1st-11th) wasn%26#39;t too bad we had temperatures as low as 10c in the Montagne Noir, Lac de Montagne. Mid-June was so so but our week stay in May was thoroughly miserable.

Buzziewine we%26#39;ll be there at the end of August to early September so fingers crossed.

i have lived here for 16 years and not one seasons weather is ever like another... one year the hottest on record another the coolest and wettest for 50 years. one winter Mild and Dry another wet and VERY COLD !!!

I love it !!!!

One thing for sure Carcassonne is VERY WINDY most of the time.....

September can be HOT or COOL, WET or DRY...come prepared for all possibilities....
