apartment vs.hotel rental

Even if your children don%26#39;t mind sharing a room, you will be far ahead in terms of expense if you get an apartment (among other things, you can have fun shopping in the markets and preparing some meals yourselves), plus you likely will find it much more comfortable and convenient (I got one for my first Paris stay, and have always been glad I did for many reasons). There are many, many threads on this forum listing apartment rental agencies, and most agencies have properties in many different areas. Do a quick search on this forum, and you will find lots of recommendations from lots of points of view (and a few warnings of places to avoid).

Hi kalkel, if you perform a search in the search engine here, you will get many reputable apartment agencies to look at. I can%26#39;t imagine that you won%26#39;t find the perfect apartment, in terms of what your personal criteria are, in all of the good agencies out there. A while ago someone made a comprehensive list of agencies. Most of them are the ones we see over and over, the good ones.

I am partial to vacationinparis.com because I%26#39;ve used them four times, with a fifth coming up in Dec (Christmas week as well). They are based in NJ and transactions are in US dollars, which is good these days, with the dollar doing so poorly against euros. They have many two-BR apartments available. I can personally recommend the one called Luxembourg Splendor on rue Vavin in the 6th. It was wonderful. But do some research and see what works best for your family. You have a little time, but do work with some haste, as I believe it%26#39;s a busy tourist time, Christmas week. Good luck!

Hi Kalkel

Also check out www.parisaddress.com - I stayed with them last October and was very happy with them
