Keeping a teenager amused in Paris?

I%26#39;m travelling to Paris in a few weeks with my teenage daughter, she%26#39;s 15.

although she%26#39;s an art lover like me, and is looking forward to the museums,she made a comment the other day %26#39;will there be anything to do for my age?%26#39;

She loves shopping , of course. Were travelling on a budget, so any ideas , all welcome.

Thanks

Try doing some searches on this forum using %26quot;teens%26quot; and %26quot;teenagers%26quot; in your search terms. There have been quite a few threads (both as to budget shopping that appeals to that age group, and as to other things to do). One suggestion: give her some guidebooks and let her see if she can find one or two places that she really would like to see (whether stores, or cultural, or whatever), and you can build other things around that as part of an itinerary for a day.

I was worried last winter when I took a 16 yr-old girl with me to Paris. I needn%26#39;t have worried. She was so taken with the smallest things. Feeding a duck in Luxembourg Garden kept her attention for an hour. Things like that. She loved the shopping, especially souvenir shopping for her friends. It will all be so new and different for your daughter, I think you%26#39;ll be surprised that she doesn%26#39;t need constant stimulation to be happy. And it was great fun seeing Paris anew through a teen%26#39;s eyes. I might suggest that you give her a piece of paper with the address of the hotel or apartment you are staying at and money for a cab in case you get separated. Have fun!
