Weather ??

Hi, my husband and I are planning our trip to Paris next year. The time frame I have in mind is January or February. Wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what the weather would be like.

Thanks so much!

wind, snow, rain, it%26#39;s winter time, but no mosquitoes ...

I was there in February. Being from New England, I thought it was quite mild, 40%26#39;s and low 50%26#39;s. If it rained, it was only for a short time. I only put my heavy coat on in the evening, and then only two nights.

well Goin, don%26#39;t worry be happy, next year, snow and ice at the program ...not the same every year infortunately, actually (in august)the weather pretty bad with a lot of rain and spring temperatures (11 Far. degrees today) .....

I was there this past February. The day I got there it hit 70 degrees. People were practically dancing in the streets. After that, it fell back to normal. I usually wear a light jacket, light gloves, a hat and a scarf. I do a lot of walking so I generate a considerable amount of body heat.

I travel quite a bit there in January and February and only once has it snowed, and that was only an inch or so.

By the way, I was there in June and it was almost as cold as it was in February!

I like it that time of year because the crowds are much lighter. However, you may miss out on some things like river/canal cruises and picnics in the parks.

pixfield, that%26#39;s exactly why I want to go during Jan. or Feb. figure there will be less people. Then in March we are off to the Riviera Maya for our annual trip to the Cancun area with our children. Again, thanks to everyone who has posted.. I%26#39;m sure I will have a lot more questions for those of you that have traveled or live in Paris. Please be patient with me :)

Weather in Paris is SO unpredictable.

This winter and spring were wonderful.

Who knows about next year?

I have been in Paris pretty much non stop since 1993 and weather has always been %26quot;fine%26quot; in winter (coming from Boston!). Short days (little day light) is what bothers me the most.

If you want to avoid crowds, avoid school vacations ( and there are several in February). Paris is not a weather destination really, you get what you get and it is still fabulous!

What bothers me most is the humidity, but I don%26#39;t find it cold. Mind you, I%26#39;m from Canada and you%26#39;re from Texas. Just wear layers and you%26#39;ll be fine.

Besides Paris is beautiful all-year round and for a plus: at that time of the year you%26#39;ll be able to see the lights of the city earlier during the day and avoid the mobs of tourists.
