We will be leaving from Paris Le Meridien Etoile hotel to CDG airport early morning 04:30, Which is more reliable - taxi or Paris Shuttle? I would appreciate your input.

Taxis bleus are reliable and you can book them the day before.
Have you researched Air France buses that leave from the sidewalk across from the Meridien Hotel???
Not sure about 4:30 but maybe 5:00 ???

Air France bus service starts at 5:00 am, our flight leaves at 6:30 am, I am afraid is not enough time.

Ordinarily I%26#39;m not an ardent advocate of taxis to and from CDG...but at 04:30 AM it%26#39;s probably the most dependable mode of transfer. Though you can telephone ahead the day or evening before to reserve a taxi to collect you at your hotel for the airport transfer...I%26#39;d be inclined to arrange it for 04:15 AM...in this way, if there is a screw-up with the reservation, you have a bit of %26#39;..cushion..%26#39; to telephone for another taxi, if the one you%26#39;ve arranged doesn%26#39;t show-up...and if it does....then you%26#39;ve simply given yourself a bit of additional %26#39;..insurance..%26#39; withoutt too much lost sleep.

I would definitely arrange the taxi through the hotel - they have more %26quot;clout,%26quot; as a possible continuing source of business, than a single consumer, so it%26#39;s more likely to go smoothly.

As almost everyone else advises I agree about taking the taxi. Request the hotel to book the taxi the day before departure. Sometimes if it%26#39;s a busy period they will not get through to make the pickup reservation until later in the day but it will occur eventually. They can%26#39;t make a reservation until 24 hours prior to departure. But don%26#39;t rely on a shuttle as I%26#39;ve read too many bad stories about how either they don%26#39;t show up on time or at all.
