We are leaving in just over two days and i am organizing some things to bring or not - one of our stays will be in carnac plage and we plan to hit the beach for one of our days. We will be travelling with our 18 month old daughter... my question is - what is the beach like? is it sandy or rocky? and once in the water - sandy or rocky? i%26#39;m trying to decide if i should bring our water shoes or not.

We have just spent our hols near Carnac and went there a lot because in our party there were four kids (1, 3, 3, and 5). They all loved the beach.
Carnac plage is beautiful sandy beach. The water is sandy too. Very good but when the wind is up there is a lot of blowy sand (we had lots of sand-filled sandwiches during our time on the beach). But the kids absolutely loved the fine, golden sand. I know that if you go up the coast a bit more past Trinite sur Mer, the beaches there could be a bit rockier or seaweedy but there are plenty of sandy beaches about. Carnac was great. There are five beaches there as well so plenty of space.
All in all, no I wouldn%26#39;t bother bringing water shoes. Enjoy!
