paris transportation

We are staying in paris for 4 days. Is there some sort of metro pass I should get or should I pay as I go?

Thanks

To give you a useful answer we need to know three things. First, what day of the week are you arriving in Paris. Second, do you anticipate using the metro and buses very frequently? How many times a day at a guess? Third, where in Paris are you staying?

There are several different solutions to the problem and the right answer depends on knowing these things.

Hello everyone

we will be arriving to CDG in 22 august and as everyone else we are a bit confused about the transportation. I found all your answers very helpful but none of the scenarios matched our case. We would really appreciate if someone could help us with this matter since we have a 10 month old doughier with us.

We will arrive to CDG on a Wednesday morning and will take the RER and metro to the latin quarter (Bibliothèque station) where our hotel is located. We will return the same route on coming Sunday evening.

So that makes it 5 days (wed-sun) in Paris. One of these days we will visit Disneyland and another day Versailles. The rest of the time will be the usual stuff downtown.

Summery:

Roundtrip to and from CDG (2 x zone 5)

Roundtrip to and from Disney (2 x zone 5)

Roundtrip to and from Versailles (2 x zone 4)

At least 2 tips a day in zone 1 (10 x zone 1)

I%26#39;ve been comparing the options and me conclusion is the a Carte Orange for 5 zones for 32 euros is our best option since we arrive on Wednesday. The only problem is that I’m not sure that if that ticket is valid for all the routes according to the summery. For instance, can we buy Carte Orange on CDG airport on our arrival and use it on the RER or doe%26#39;s that ticket not work on the airport route.

Thanks for all answers
