RER to Paris from Charles de Gaulle airport

We are arriving in Paris in Sept and planning to buy the 10 tickets carnet for transportation. Can we use these carnet tickets to travel from the Charles de Gaulle airport into the city? or do we have to buy a separate ticket cost for €8.10 ? Thanks!

The carnet is available only to travel within Paris zone 1 and 2. The airport is in zone 5. You will need to buy a separate ticket from CDG to your point in Paris.

The RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne--ROISSYRAIL--train transfer from CDG to central Paris requires a separate special ticket or a transportation pass valid for Zones 1-5. One-way fare is 8,20€ (onward Metro travel included).. Tickets are available from automatic vending machines at the two(2) RER stations within CDG...BUT...these machines will accept either €uro denomination COINAGE or a French-issued credit card only US-issued credit cards will NOT work in these machines...so purchase your ticket(s) at a manned ticket kiosk (which will accept US-issued credit cards). You will need to keep your ticket handy...as you will need it to insert into (and remember to retrieve from) the turnstile / gate to exit the RER portion of any arrival station in Paris...and for onward Metro travel within Paris.
