Toulouse for a week

Hi

Would Toulouse have enough for a weeks holiday for a family of three. My little girl is 8. We like restaurants/cafe culture/history. Not keen on driving. Any suggestions for hotel with pool?

Two day trips that would be easy from Toulouse by train are Carcassonne and Albi.

One more vote for day trips to Carcassonne and Albi. These two are musts and easy to get to from Toulouse by train.
