Distances La Rochelle Airport

Hi

On the spur of the moment my husband, myself %26amp; 6 friends have booked a gite just outside Les Sables-d%26#39;Olonne for the end of August.

We have got flights to La Rochelle %26amp; are hiring a car.

However when we looked at maps the distance between La Rochelle %26amp; Les Sables varies between 1 1/2 to 21/2 hours drive.

Just wondered could anyone clear this up please.

Also we have been to the vendee many times but never this late in the season. We aren%26#39;t fussed about the weather but just wondered what to expect weather wise.
