hi all,
my family and i are staying at the Novotel Nice Centre this weekend for 6 nights. it was only supposed to be for 3 but with the Aer Lingus strike we have had to extend our holiday(shame). has anyone stayed there before?
is it ok?
i have 2 children (6 and 10)
i have found out its about 20 mins walk from promonade.
does anyone know the area the hotel is in?
is it ok? are there nice restaurants/bars within easy walking distance?
how much would a taxi cost from promonade to the hotel?
what about bus numbers and times?
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I stayed at the Novotel about 3 years ago and it was a typical city chain hotel, the hotel is by the acropolis, a taxi to prom was 10 euros then, so inflation and all that. not sure now.
Cafe du Turin(super seafood retauant) not far, about 5 minutes walk, the walk to the old town is about 5/10 minutes, loads of nice restaurants in the Old Town.
Airport to hotel was 35 euros, bus no. 98,from platform 4 is 4 euros each, although there will be a 10/15 minute walk from bus station.
With children i would say its 30min walk to promenade.
