Sunday Lunch/Brunch-Reasonable

We will be in Cannes for a Sunday, Sept 23, from 8:00-20:00. (Cruise ship stop) We would like to stroll through some of the town and then enjoy a nice lunch about 13:00. Can someone suggest a resonable priced restaurant, perhaps with a %26quot;view%26quot;. Is the Suquet an area that would provide this for us? Is it a difficult walk to get there? Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

Hello there,

Le Suquet is the old town area around and above the old port. There are lots of restaurants to choose from around the port which have views. There is also the %26quot;restaurant street%26quot;- the rue St Antoine which winds its way up the hill to the top of le Suquet, but sadly most restaurants face inwards so don%26#39;t enjoy views. It is fairly steep but not very difficult if you are reasonably fit .

One area you might enjoy is round the Forville market , at the bottom of Le Suquet which has a great atmosphere on Sundays. Can recommend a restaurant on the market square called Taverne de Lucullus which is reasonable for brunch.

Another area to walk round to is rue Jean Hibert, just round the corner from the old port, past the Sofitel. There is a strip of restaurants there which enjoy great views of the Esterel and islands.

Hope this is of some help
