Bus to the Louvre

I checked on the RATP site but would like an expert%26#39;s observation. I think I can take the #27 bus from Les Ecoles to the Louvre and get off at either Musee du Louvre or Palais Royal/Louvre, n%26#39;est pas.

You should look at the bus route map - to me, it shows it going along the Left Bank from rue des Ecoles and doesn%26#39;t go by the Louvre%26#39;s stops on the Right Bank until it is returning from the end of the line.

HOWEVER, RATP #27 does route you to the stop %26quot;PONT DES ARTS-QUAI DE CONTI %26quot; (Left Bank) and then instructs you to cross on the Pont des Arts...

I%26#39;m not sure I%26#39;m looking at the plan de ligne properly but does it not leave Les Ecoles proceeding along the quais to Pont du Carousel and then crosses the Seine with the first stop being Musee du Louvre? I am assuming this as the little black arrows seem to point in the direction of the right bank so again I am assuming it is travelling towards the Louvre to the end of the route.

Would the #21 be a better choice?

My *bad* - you are right, you could get off at the %26#39;foot%26#39; of the Louvre grounds...

Either bus would be good - 27 puts you out by the carrousel stairway, which puts you down in the underground area where you can go thru and into the huge lobby under the pyramid. 21 puts you out across from the street entrance for the line with passes, and then you go down one level to the main lobby area. (I hope this is right, it%26#39;s been a while for me).

You definitely have the %26#39;hang%26#39; of the bus planning, so go with confidence!
