construction of the light rail in Nice

All of you who have just returned from Nice......is the construction still causing a mess, are they almost finished or are we still going to have a problem next March? I was there last March and everyone was saying %26quot;another six months%26quot; and it%26#39;ll be done. How about it, what%26#39;s the latest?

There are three big phases still on

The restoration of Place Massena - almost complete, just snagging

The restoration of av Jean Medecin - still ploughing on with the north-running side of the road, major holes and utilities works, no pavements down apart from token sections, much still to go

The rest of Nice - a long way to go, with place Garribaldi with the old city ramparts preseved below ground, but huge cosmetics to restore the square needed

Lots of traffic signalling equipment for the tram is being installed - lights, crossing signs etc leads me to thing they may be going to %26quot;run the tram%26quot; but catch up with the city later!

Cheers
