gare du nord to paris montparnasse

Arriving at gare du nord eurostar and need to get to paris montparnasse in 35 minutes. Is this possible and what is the best way to achieve this?

That is a challenge! Taxi will probably take 30-40 minutes if you are arriving mid-day, and run EUR 50. Anytime during the rush hours (morning or evening) will take about an hour in a car.

Your best bet for time may be the subway although you%26#39;ll have to study the lines to figure out the best routes. I expect you have to change lines at least once, probably twice. (I%26#39;ve taken the subways in Paris, but never from Gare du Nord to Montparnasse.)

Good luck!

Hi Peter,

It would be achievable... take directly the Metro Line 4 (dir. Porte d%26#39;Orléans) and it will take about 25 mn... you won%26#39;t have to pick a nap on the metro !!

Or try this site to find your way in Paris : www.ratp.fr

Cheers!
